# Hosting Feature Scout on a server (optional)

Feature Scout runs fine on your own computer (`feature-scout watch`). If you would rather it ran
on an always-on machine, the `cloud/` folder and `fly.toml` are a working setup for Fly.io:

1. Copy `cloud/projects.example.json` to `cloud/projects.json` and describe your project.
2. Put your app's name in `fly.toml`, create a volume called `scout_data`, and set the secrets
   named in `cloud/entrypoint.sh` (your Claude sign-in token or API key, a Library Mode token,
   and a secret for the review page's private link).
3. `fly deploy --remote-only`.

The schedule is in `cloud/crontab`: one scan a day and a build pass every half hour. Approving
an idea on the review page also starts a build pass right away.
